In the business world, there are two categories of people; entrepreneurs and employees. Not everyone can set up a business and nor does everyone want to. If you happen to fall into the category of those who choose to be employee rather than employer, you’re going to weave some magic around yourself to attract possible employers. You need stellar personal branding.
As a job seeker, have you ever asked yourself; “how do I get prospective and current employers to notice me?” If this is your question then your answer is all about personal branding. Personal branding is a statement about your professional expertise as well as your experiences in a particular job field. In a job market, where job seekers outnumber the number of jobs available, competition is very fierce, making it is necessary to invest time in ensuring that entrepreneurs notice your credentials, competence and character enough to offer you appropriate positions in their business.
In the extended family systems of many cultures, people are chosen as the next of kin to a deceased head of the family based on their relationship with other people and their good moral behavior. As a result, conscientious boys and girls try as much as possible to conduct themselves in such a way that their names are on everybody’s lips for the right reasons when the current head passes away. To ensure that everybody within the family mentions their names as the appropriate successor when the incumbent head passes, eligible successors display obedience, respect, and a hard and efficient work ethic. These attributes are targeted at the elders who will be instrumental in the decision-making.
This is the kind of personal branding I’m talking about. If you are able to create a good personal brand for yourself, employees are more likely to come looking for YOU. How do you create this beautiful personal brand? Keep reading and you’ll discover 5 simple secrets to creating a successful personal brand in order to attract current and prospective employers.

Do some background research and find out the needs of the employers that you would wish to work for and align your strengths and experiences with those needs.
